  • Where is the wedding taking place?

    • The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art

  • Are children invited to the wedding?

    • Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding. We will have babysitting services available for out of town guests. Please just let us know if you are interested! We are also excited to see your kiddos at the welcome dinner and all other events!

  • Can I bring a date?

    • Our wedding is RSVP only. We can only accommodate those listed on your invitation.

  • What is the weather like in Kansas City?

    • Weather can be finicky in the midwest but early autumn is a beautiful time of year here. Temperature highs are usually in the low to mid 70’s and lows in the low to mid 50’s.

  • How should I get to and from the airport and should I rent a car?

    • This is totally up to you! The estimated cost of an Uber/Lyft between the airport and the Plaza is around $50 and between 35-45 minutes depending on traffic. Most activities and locations in Kansas City are within 15-20 minutes of one another. You can definitely depend on car services for your stay or if you chose to rent a car for your own convenience you can rent a car directly from the MCI airport or use Turo, a car rental service.

  • What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

    • You can drive and park at the museum garage or use a car service such as Lyft or Uber. If getting dropped off please enter through the north main entrance.

  • What time should I arrive?

    • Please arrive at 5:30pm for pre-ceremony cocktails. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm.

  • What time does the wedding end? Is there an after party?

    • After the band wraps up, we will have late night food and DJ Sheppa leading us dancing ‘til midnight. There is no official after party planned but we will see where the night takes us.

  • How do I RSVP?

    • Right here on the website or send your RSVP card back in the mail.

  • When should I RSVP by?

    • Please, respond by August 7th

  • Is there a dress code?

    • The wedding dress code is creative black tie. The welcome dinner dress code is cocktail attire. All other events are casual.

  • Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

    • If midwest weather cooperates we will host a sunset cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony in the sculpture garden. Otherwise, all wedding day events will take place indoors.

  • What type of food will be served at the wedding?

    • We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree.

  • What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

    • Please indicate any dietary needs on the online RSVP page and we will let the chef know to accommodate your needs.

  • Where can I stay?

    • We have a block of rooms reserved for guests at the Marriott on the Country Club Plaza. We have also listed other hotel recommendations and Airbnb’s on the Travel & Stay tab above.

  • What are fun things to do in KC outside of wedding celebrations?

  • Is everyone invited to pre and post wedding celebrations?

  • Yes! We hope you can make it to some pre-wedding get togethers to connect and enjoy time together before the wedding day and a farewell brunch at our house on Sunday morning.
